OUR STAFF AND EMPLOYMENT

All of our direct care staff are recruited and selected to match the individuals they are working with. This creates the best environment for support and quality care. We have retained a very high proportion of our staff over the years and this has been great for consistency of support and building relationships. Our staff also:

  • Receive a paid general induction day, as well as on the job inductions and ‘buddy’ shifts;
  • Paid attendance at a First Aid course of their choosing;
  • Paid attendance at other training events as part of their Performance Development;
  • The opportunity to study Certificate 4 in disability, while they work, and with no cost to the employee;
  • Are provided with 24 hour support as required to perform their duties;

If you are interested in being a disability support worker in Perth with BGSR you will need the following:

  •   Current (within the last 12 months) National Police Clearance;
  •   Certificate 3/4 in disability (cert 3 minimum);
  •   A basic Medical or fitness to work from your GP;
  •   6 months local (within Australia) experience in the Disability sector
